We haven’t posted on our news much this week. Haven’t had too much news to actually post, really. A lot of the same ol’, same ol’. Cheggelund’s AoC Blog has been steadily updated. Take a look there for some bits and pieces from around the net.

The AoC community site has been updated with a contest. Those who possess creative writing skills should look into it. That’s what I really like about Funcom: Fan interaction. I might check it out.

Also, if you are in the Atlanta area, Funcom will be at Dragoncon.

As an aside, why does the AoC community site use such long URLs?

Moui and Xelissa have been working away on some wallpapers. I’m simply posting to get it out in the open and to put the fire under them, so to speak, so that they can’t change their minds. Now, they have to post them. I’m a jerk like that.

Age of Conan looks to be sweeping the E3 awards for best MMO at E3, Gamespot lavishing yet another accolade on the game we’re all longing for. I am glad that Gamespot also gave mention to Tabula Rasa — I was worried it had fallen out of favor. If I ever take a break from AoC I’ll probably check it out.

Things are starting to get rolling with AoC and, hopefully, with our fansite. After E3, a lot more information has been coming in. Our new Previews section hopefully contains most of the previews found around the net not only for E3 but all the previews going back to the game’s initial announcement. If there are other sites out there that we’ve missed, please let us know.

A great new video called Developer’s Commentary (19 May 06) is up at IGN. In it, Director Godager plays through various levels of the game, showing the people at IGN various gameplay mechanics. Awesome watch. If that doesn’t get you excited…well, check your pulse.

IGN has given AoC an E3 award as well, for best persistant online game.
