Cimmeria
The gloomy land of Cimmeria lies in the shadow of the towering Eiglophian Mountains to the north. The skies here are grey and rainy, hanging low over the forested hills. Most of Cimmeria is unsuitable for raising crops or even keeping large herds. As a result, the people of Cimmeria live in small nomadic bands, forever traveling in search of new food sources or looking to sharpen their battle skills on outlanders or other Cimmerian tribes.
Stygia
Stygia is a desert area aesthetically modeled after Egypt with hints of the American Southwest and the Native Americans; Stygia is a mix of dark desires and harsh climates. The lands surrounding the adobe-style cities are filled with everything from roving scorpions and serpents to hyenas and bandits. The lucky traveler may also come across some ancient ruin or forbidden tomb spilling over with gold and relics. They may also, however, meet their end in a variety of horrible ways. The lucky ones will end their lives screaming and manacled to an ancient Acheronian demon totem. The unlucky ones will suffer mightily when they come across nameless creatures that even the Stygians fear.
Aquilonia
Aquilonia is a bastion of vibrancy and civilization, surrounded on all sides by enemies. Lying mostly in the temperate regions, it shares a climate similar to modern-day France or Germany. As a result, Aquilonians have hot summers and cold winters. Gigantic walls and stone castles either imitate or are built into naturally defensible positions such as the tops of hills and the sides of cliffs with large storage facilities that can weather both cold winters and a siege.
