Completed Sites
Below are some sites I’ve done for various clients.
The Quotable Woman
Here is an example of a site I designed from scratch based on some materials provided by the customer. She showed me a brochure she had made and I used it as inspiration; after a few revisions, we ended up with what you see here.
The Common Language Project
This site is a great example of collaboration; each step, from the very first, was a joint operation. They presented a logo, I presented a template mock-up; they gave me feedback, I revised. Once we picked a template, I wrote up clean and easy-to-read code and they took over implementing much of the site. Even now, they manage most of the maintenance, but whenever they run into something they can’t figure out, I lend a hand.
Age of Conan Fansite
This is a gaming fansite I designed for a group of gamers. They left the design entirely up to me; it stems entirely from my imagination, along with some research I did regarding the game. It is a wordpress powered site; I designed the template and implemented it in their content management system of choice.
Global Citizen Journey
This is the web site I created for the non-profit organization called Global Citizen Journey. This site is an example of my implementing someone else’s design; they had someone else create a mock-up of what they wanted, and then I coded and refined it throughout a couple of versions; it is now another wordpress powered site.
Unfinished Sites
Below are some sites I’m either currently worked on, or worked on in the past and then never finished. I’ve listed the ones which I think are interesting in one way or another.
Underpowered Guild - Red
Here is another site for a group of gamers; this one is interesting, because it’s a simple and totally fluid layout — it will stretch to just about any browser width and still look good.
Work at Western Washington University
While a student at Western Washington University, I worked as the webmaster for Residential Technology Services (ResTek). While I did not design their main site (that was done by my predecessor), I was in charge of maintaining that site. I also designed web graphics, a variety of publications, and websites for side projects. Below are a couple of sites which I designed for ResTek but are now out of my hands — they may have changed beyond recognition from when I originally created them, but at the time of this posting they are as I left them.
ResNet Bid 2010
ResTek chose to place a bid to host the 2010 ResNet Symposium. As such, I was asked to design a Wordpress template and collaborate with other ResTek staff members to create content for this bid site.
iMovieFest 2008
ResTek hosts an annual film festival on campus. Originally, it was a collaborative effort with another campus organization which took charge of the website; however, the 2008 site fell to me.
